Podcast: Making money with purpose

Guests:

Jonathan Moules

Jonathan Moules Journalist, Financial Times

Claudine Reid MBE

Claudine Reid MBE Director, PJ's Community Service

Claudine Reid MBE and her husband have been running PJ’s Community Service since 1995. The business has taken many iterations but now operates as a social enterprise that aims to upskill, employ, and support those from disadvantaged and underserved backgrounds.

One thing Claudine is not short on is experience. In just under three decades she has navigated the business through rocky waters against an ever changing landscape time and time again. Claudine says that her ability to do this has largely been down to her unquenchable thirst for knowledge. She explains that only by taking a step back and looking at the business strategically has she been able to keep the ship on a true course.

In this episode, Jonathan speaks to Claudine about some of the ways in which she has pivoted the business to keep it alive and kicking, some of the recent transformations EDI has seen in the workplace, and how she ultimately points all her work towards a wider purpose.
