In our regional half-day conference for the Help to Grow Alumni Network, we aim to provide the tools, insights, and support needed to help SME business leaders retain their staff, whilst effectively keeping them motivated in spite of change.
Designed specifically for Alumni in Scotland, this conference features a masterclass from Adrian Furnham, an organisational psychologist and consultant. Adrian will provide insights into how to become a better and more resilient business leader, whilst keeping staff engaged. There will also be expert insights into building an entrepreneurial mindset and an opportunity for delegates to engage with regional support for SMEs as well as fellow alumni.

In our opening session, attendees will be encouraged to skip the small talk and get to know fellow SME leaders on a deeper level in our conversation café. In pairs, you will be encouraged to share the lessons you’ve learned in life and business experiences with fellow alumni. The Help to Grow team will provide an insightful and entertaining question guide that will help you to shed light on your leadership journeys to date.

In this interactive workshop session, Adrian Furnham will outline ways to become a better and more resilient leader, and how you can effectively engage with your team. Through exploring the psychology of management, teamwork, and motivation, the workshop will give further insight into how SME leaders can improve satisfaction and higher productivity.

As an SME leader, it is often difficult to take a step back from your business and see the path to growth clearly. In this session, our experts will discuss the common characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, how a strong network can provide support and fresh perspectives, and tips to help improve your adaptability and confidence.
