Irene is the founding CEO and a board director of the ScaleUp Institute, a not-for-profit company focused on making the UK the best place to scale-up a business. Former senior banker, she set up, ran, and scaled several of the bank’s key client and product businesses.

He has over 20 years’ experience in corporate finance, working in UK small and mid-cap advisory and broking roles at Teather & Greenwood, Charles Stanley Securities, and Cantor Fitzgerald Europe.

Chris leads NatWest High Growth, a program dedicated to supporting businesses facing the challenges of rapid expansion. He also oversees the Family Business proposition, which assists entrepreneurs with next generation planning and talent identification.

Alex joined BGF from private equity firm LDC and is now a senior investor in the London team. He leads Technology and Business Services sector coverage, handling investments in London and the Southeast. With nearly 20 years of experience, he supports entrepreneurs, management teams, and sits on several boards.

Umerah Akram, COO of fintech platform Floww, is reshaping private markets by streamlining access to capital for growing businesses.
